Rest assured, loyal Fateweaver, your subscription will remain at the same price, with even more benefits on the horizon.

What's changing?

Starting September 1, we’re unveiling a new token system known as Fatestones. You will spend Fatestones to use special actions — such as 5 Fatestones to use Rewind or 30 Fatestones to create a Faible or a Series. Fatestones let you choose how you want to explore Faible and craft your unique Fateweaver experience.

Why is this change happening?

At Faible, we’re dedicated to creating an enchanting storytelling experience for every user. These new tiers allow us to balance offering a full-feature free user experience while ensuring the maximum flexibility for how all Fateweavers use Faible. Don't worry, making choices and reading Faibles are still free for everyone.

What happens to my current subscription during this change?

Through September 1st 2024, as a thank you to our current subscribers for your continued support and patronage throughout the Faible beta, you will be grandfathered into the “Destined” ($19.99/mo) plan at the same price you’ve been paying ($9.99/mo). You will stay at this price as long as you maintain an active subscription. After this date, you will need to subscribe to the Destined ($19.99/mo) tier at full price.

“Fatestones earned multiplier” means that anytime you earn Fatestones, the total amount gained is multiplied by this number. The multiplier does not apply to the monthly bonus Fatestones or the initial 100 Fatestones gained on account creation.

Introducing: Fatestones

What are Fatestones?

Fatestones are tokens that can be earned, and subscribers receive a number of them (relative to the subscription tier) each month. You can use Fatestones to do various things like rewinding your story (5 Fatestones), creating a Faible (30 Fatestones), creating a Series (30 Fatestones), and more! This system gives you the flexibility to customize your Faible experience and focus on the features that you most enjoy.

How many Fatestones can I have at once?

The cap refers to the total amount your account can hold at any given time, not the amount you can earn within a month.

Free users have a cap of 250 Fatestones at once.
“Fated” ($9.99) subscribers can have up to 1,000 Fatestones.
“Destined”($19.99) subscribers can accrue and have an unlimited number of Fatestones.

How do I spend my Fatestones?

Rewind: 5 Fatestones.
Create a new Faible (Quickplay or Forge): 30 Fatestones.
Create a new Series: 30 Fatestones.
Edit a Faible: Every Faible gets 6 free edits. After that, it costs 10 Fatestones to enter edit mode.
Faible image generation: Every Faible Forge can generate 6 total images for cover art and additional art for free. After that, each generation costs 10 Fatestones.
Faible world details: Every Faible Forge can generate world details with AI once, after that it costs 5 fatestones per generation.
Character image generation: You can generate 2 images for each character for free. After that, each image generation costs 10 Fatestones.
Character details: You can generate character details once per character for free. After that, it costs 5 Fatestones per generation.
Skip the queue: You can spend 1 Fatestone to skip an advertisement or skip the queue.

How do I get more Fatestones?

You will receive Fatestones automatically every month as a subscriber. Free users and subscribers both have the opportunity to earn more. Being a subscriber will award you 5x for the “Fated” tier and 15x for the “Destined” tier.

Earning more Fatestones

There are two ways to acquire Fatestones. If you subscribe to any tier, you will receive Fatestones automatically each month (200 for Fated and 500 for Destined tiers).

Additionally, performing the following actions in-app will grant you Fatestones.

The “Fated” tier ($9.99/mo) will earn 5x the amount shown for each action.

The “Destined” tier ($19.99/mo) will earn 15x the amount shown for each action.

Fateweaver’s Quest

To get you started, we’ve assembled a short quest to introduce you to the basic features of Faible. All current Fateweavers will have 1 week to complete the quest. New accounts created will instead have 1 week from their start date to complete the quest. This will grant 50 (250 as Fated tier, 500 as Destined tier) Fatestones upon completion of all elements:

Create your first Faible
- Faibles are the worlds or settings that you create. They are like an outline for the world and characters in it. Tap the plus button on the main navigation bar to get started with a Quickplay Faible
Complete your first Adventure
- Adventures are the individual playthroughs or stories within a Faible. Every single Adventure is entirely unique and generated as you play it, but they all have the similarity of being a part of that Faible. Just tap “Start Adventure” on any Faible details card.
Publish your first Faible
- By default, all Faibles created are private. To share: Tap the share icon (it looks like an open box with an arrow rising from it) on a Faible or Adventure card and follow the on-screen instructions to publish it.
Create your first Series
- When you complete an adventure you’ll have the option to create a Series. Tap the Series button and follow the on-screen prompts to create your first series!
Rewind a choice
- Did you have a moment where you wish you could rewind and change fate? Tap on the Rewind icon (located above each choice in an Adventure) to go back and choose a different path.

First time you share a Faible on Reddit: 50 Fatestones
First time you share a Faible on Facebook: 50 Fatestones
Get 10 followers on your Creator Page: 50 Fatestones
Follow 10 Creator pages: 50 Fatestones

Repeatable Rewards
Every avatar you unlock awards 10 Fatestones
Complete an Adventure in a public Faible that is not your own: 10 Fatestones (this can be gained once per week)
Publish a Faible: 10 Fatestones (this can be gained once per week)
Refer a friend: You each get 10 Fatestones when they complete signup, and you and your friend receive an additional 30 when your friend completes their first adventure.

Important note: If your subscription ends or you downgrade to a lower tier, your Fatestones will be reduced to your new cap (1000 for "Fated" or 250 for a free account).

If you change your mind and upgrade again, we will restore your tokens to the amount you had before downgrading.
